ETM Design & Construction is a design studio dedicated to transforming residential and commercial interiors through thoughtful, intentional design. We believe a space should do more than look beautiful. It should support the way you live, work, and experience life every day.
With over 20 years of design and customer service experience, our approach begins with understanding the people who inhabit the space. Each project is guided by thoughtful collaboration, intentional design choices, and a commitment to creating environments that feel both refined and deeply personal.
From residential homes to commercial spaces, our expert team manages the entire process—from concept to completion—ensuring that every detail is aligned with the client’s vision. Meet our CEO
Ebonie T. Mullen is the founder and creative force behind ETM Design & Construction, LLC. A DMV native, Ebonie’s love for art, design, and building began in childhood, creating paper dolls and designing miniature homes using everyday household items for her Barbies. As a teen, she found inspiration walking through model homes, drawn to the colors, textures, and architectural details. She often imagined what it would feel like to live in a space that was thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed and made a promise to herself that one day, her home would reflect that same level of intention. That vision became reality as she began transforming her own spaces, which soon evolved into designing and building for others.
Ebonie’s professional journey spans multiple disciplines. She brings over 20 years of experience in Information Technology, specializing in Cybersecurity. Even while briefing senior leadership in high-level boardrooms, her creative eye never rested, often reimagining the spaces around her, from flooring to furnishings. Recognizing that her true passion extended beyond technology, Ebonie made the decision to fully pursue her calling in design and construction.
Today, she is a licensed General Contractor in Maryland and leads her firm with a commitment to thoughtful design, functional living, and elevated results. She is also passionate about empowering other women, teaching them how to confidently use tools and take ownership of their own home projects, while encouraging others to grow in both business and purpose. Her greatest joy comes from seeing the reaction of her clients when they step into their transformed spaces, an experience she defines as #TheEbonieEffect.
Ebonie is a wife and mother of Five, including her beloved Lab rescue, Koko Danielle.
